Frequently Asked Questions

How do you go about staging a home?

We analyze your property with an objective eye, identifying the strengths and weaknesses that are likely to influence the first impressions of potential buyers. We offer creative, cost-effective solutions that
minimize potential negatives while enhancing the positive qualities of your home. We often create a more neutral space, where the buyer can begin to imagine the possibilities the home holds for them.
Do I need to stage the entire home?

That is at the discretion of the homeowner. We often recommend at least the high impact areas, the main living area, dining room, master bedroom and bath. We also offer a service where we work with only the homeowner's current belongings and offer our best advice on how to modernize and streamline the home for optimum results on a lower budget. The home need not be vacant to stage it, although you may wish to
place some of your furnishings in storage during the sale process.
Where do the home furnishings come from?

The furnishings come from a variety of sources, both rental and retail markets.
May we purchase the home furnishings?

Please inquire what has been purchased and are available for resale, yet bare in mind, most of the furnishings are based on a rental agreement and unavailable for purchase. Through our many vendors we are able to design for each home with new and exciting options and therefore keep the cost reasonable.
What is not included in home staging?

We do not provide contractors for major construction. If you choose to remodel or update your property, we recommend all major construction and remodeling be completed before the onset of the staging project. If necessary, we may suggest paint and color consultation, window treatments, landscapers and other minor, cosmetic changes to enhance the home before staging.
How long does the process take?

We offer a complimentary meeting to assess the needs of the home. This generally takes about a half hour.
Based on the clients needs, we will provide a quote for the work required. Once the terms have been agreed upon, an appointment will be made for the first available installation date, generally within ten days.
Do I need to be present on the day of installation?

You or your agent only needs to be present to gain access to the home, if you choose. Your time is valuable to us and your needs and security will be addressed during the initial meeting.
What if I would like advice on how to stage my own home?

We offer a design consultation at $500.00 per session, when staging is not requested. This is an in depth look at the home and takes up to three hours. (If, after the consultation, the client feels that staging is more advantageous, then the consultation fee can be applied to the staging fee. This fee is nonrefundable.)
Should I consult my homeowner's insurance policy?

Yes, the homeowner is required to insure all contents and is responsible for any damage, loss or theft.
We hope this offers the homeowner a more comprehensive look at home staging and why it may be advantageous for the highest financial yield.
